About a turtle and a spider.Also their grandmother was telling them one of her moonlight stories .
What are some of the features of traditional tales and fables? What makes them different from other stories we read?
How traditional stories are told by their grandparents and great great grandparents .Also it could be passed on to the next generation .
Where is the story set? You need to identify and look up where this country is.
In the beginning of the story we see that they are telling tales under the moonlight, why are tales often told under moonlight?
So the story can sound more interesting and frightened also This story has been set in nigeria . Nigeria is and city in the north africa .
We know that this story is ‘retold’ what does the word ‘retold’ mean and can you give an example/ explain further?
Its how you like tell them a story and then you tell them again also it means Past and past participle of retell .
What does the word ‘customary’ mean? What is customary in your culture? (Maybe sharing a meal, or giving someone a compliment)
Customary means another term for custumal , and also it means the same as custom and conventional .
Predict what you think will happen next in the story?
Turtle will probably go out and hunt for food . Also he might get into a seriously problem that it might cause and action .
What are tricks and how might Anansi trick turtle?
It means a skilful act performed for entertainment or amusement,and Anansi might lie to turtle .

Granma has told them a story about the yoruba tribe in the moonlight. The turtle has come back from hunting food.
Why are they washing their hands?so they could not spread germs. When do you wash your hands?Before you have dinner.What might happen next?They're gonna have dinner now. Why do you think that?Because crabs cooking and they went too go wash their hands so they must be having dinner.

“What might happen next?Anansi might trick turtle and tell him to go wash his hands and try and eat the most.” “Who is the cleverer of the two?Anansi because he is very brave too trick turtle ” Think about the fact that Turtle has worked out that Anansi knows Turtle’s hands will get dirty. What might Turtle do?Go and wash it quickly and race back so their would be more food left.

He means that anansi doesnt know that turtle walks on his hands so every time he goes to the river and the comes back a heap sand a sticked to his hands.

anansi cooked turtle some yams but he also got tricked.Because The told him to go and wash his hands but when the came back anansi had already started eating.

In the northern coast there was a turtle named aniqua,she had come back from travelling a long way around the world. As she came out of the sea onto the shore she had met a spider named anansi they had been friends since school. But Aniqua thought that anansi wouldn't have forgot about her . But the Aniqua her someone call her name it was anansi she had invited Aniqua too dinner. But when she went over anansi sent Aniqua to wash her hands but then anansi had already started eating. Aniqua came back and there was only a little bit left.Aniqua wasn't that angry but anyway she was happy again.
