Adding Detail To Sentences

A complex sentence has more than one clause. It has added detail giving the reader more information. It adds interest and makes writing JUICY.

You can add to the

beginning

middle

end

of simple sentences.

 

Mr Jacobsen was our coach on the confidence course.

When we went to camp Mr Jacobsen was our coach on the confidence course.

When we heard that we we're doing sailing  I was nervous about sailing on camp.

I was  nervous as we went by the sailing boats for sailing on camp.

           

I was nervous about sailing on camp because it was my first time .

When we finished sailing  we went abseiling.

we went on this challenging obstacle which was called abseiling.

Our Year 6 Camp.

I like camp because you go to great places and next week were going camp at Kawau island .The activities that we a going to do is sailing,rock climbing ,swimming , Burma trailing , volleyball , and kayak .

HERE IS A PICTURE 

I Herd a Whisper.

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Taylar and she was walking through this dark forest. Then she heard a whisper saying “ Turn Around “ and Taylar was frightened by this horrifying sound.

Then suddenly she had reached her destination. Then the whispering sound was still going on and on. Taylar ran up to her tree house and didn't come down. As Taylar heard that someone was knocking on the door.

Taylar Had still didn't go to the door because she had thought that it wouldn't have been that strange sound again. She had looked outside the window and it was that sound she had tried to look and see who it was.

She had went down to see who it was and she had sawn the face and it was her big brother tom trying to scare her. She was very angry because she had thought that the sound that was talking was someone that wants to kill her.

Kiwis vs Cook Island.

On the kiwis first practise game. They versed the cook island at London , When kick off started they nearly got a 100 meter try but the cook island team had held them back but after half time the score was 38 - 0 to the kiwis and then on second half the kiwis just thrashed them by miles and at the end of the game the final score was 52 - 4 .
