Netbook Reflection 2012

When we had books it was boring because I keep getting sore hands. Now we have our Netbooks it is very cool because you could store everything in google drive. 

When I get heaps of images from google, the netbook checker Nevyn comes and call me too reimage my netbook in get  frustrated. But it is cool that you could take it home and finish of school work so you don't have to be behind at school.

I think netbook a very cool because we did not have it at my old school. I hope that we still have netbooks next year because it is a cool learning tool.

Feathery Friends

• In feathery friends it talks about how animals feet's a used for.
• Heron's feet are long and very elegant.
• Wax eye's feet's are small and delicate for hoping onto skinny twigs.

Invisible Rope.

At my house Cezar and James came to my house  when they called me out Peh so was I my house playing on my PSP. James told me to come outside and play the invisible rope as we were walking  out on the road cezar was hiding in the tree.

After that James thought that we should play invisible rope on the road so we started to do it on the  road outside my house. Then James ran across the road to start the game. After a while we looked and  a car was coming so we quickly ran on the road and got the invisible rope and ran back and started to pull and pull until the car slowed down.

Suddenly it slowed down and we we're very happy because that is ten points

and if you make it stop then that is fifty points.I felt very happy because we got 5 cars to stop in was very very happy.

Bubbly Bottle

In the afternoon at school I watched  a movie on how to make a bubbly bottle.While I watched found out what
you needed to make a  Bubbly bottle.

When I finished looking at the movie, I got everything I  needed to do my project and started making it.The steps were pretty frustrating.

Suddenly, as I was getting into it I finally got to the end and in just needed to put water and food coloring. At the end, I tested it and it worked I was Amazed that I made it! All that time in thought that I would never succeed.

How To Make a Bubbly Bottle

Toy:BUBBLY BOTTLE

Materials:

• 2 bottles
• 2 straws
• 1 needle
• 1 scissors
• Tape

Method:

1. Put lids back to back.

2. Tape both lids with tape.

3. Make two Hole’s with  scissors or a nail etc.

4. Make little holes and end with a needle.


5. Put the straws i the holes that you made with the scissors and join together.

6.    Pour coloured water in one boy. Invert to see
      bubbles emerge from both straws. Attach
      two bottles to the lid assembly ends again
      repeat by inverting.

The butter trap

In this story Mom told the girl too go and get some butter at the corner shop.As she was walking she was swinging it around and around then it fell out of the bag and hit the gutter.When she walked home she lied too her mom and said the their was a nasty boy chased her down the road.Mum gave her a cuddel and didnt matter.She did not hear dad ome home for lunch.So mom told dad the story about how she droped the butter.Dad was very angry because she hasn't been hurt ever since she got back from the corner shop.

After that Dad took her too the nasty noys house and told the mom if the nasty boy chased this girl down the road.The nasty boy’s mom said that know all this time he was at boarding school dads face was very red because how she lied.As they got home they told mom.Then mom washed out her mouth with soap.

Kiwis vs Kangaroos

On Saturday the Kiwis versed the kangaroos ,the game was in Townsville dairy farmers stadium. It was a close game but in first place it was ten all but  suddenly the kangaroos  scored a conversion try and got a penalty kick.Then it was half time.

After half time the kangaroos were leading eighteen ten it was a close game but the score stayed like that until full time. I felt horrible because I was going for kiwis.

Beach

This morning Chris and Jonson were planning to go to the beach, because they fort that it will be a sunny day. So they went to the beach and had a swim but the lifeguard said that “don't go too the out zone”.

But Chris  couldn't hear the lifeguard so he went to the out zone and it was too deep for him so he couldn’t swim.  Chris  nearly drowned, but johnson tried to save him but he heard the lifeguard to not  go out too the out zone .

So chris had to try and swim so he could get to the side where it is  not deep for him.So the life guard swarm and got him and brang him to where it is safe so when he got out of the water they made some sand castles and then after they went home and had a sleep.

In maths we had to use play dough to make Eels.we had to make it so we could split it into equal parts and fractions and into different ways of making the same number of fractions.

All the groups found out what numerator and denominator means the numerator is the 1st number uptop of the number at the bottom.the denominator means when the number under the numerator.the denominator means how many equal parts their are.

Paralympic news

In the paralympics cameron leslie won a gold  with missing limbs he had won another gold in the beijing game. cameron leslie had to swim with one arm that was his disability,it was hard for him to defend the beijing gold medal.

New zealand has now eleven medals although they have  three gold from track cycling  and three golds for swimming,  so all up they haves six golds. In the silvers new zealand has three silvers and four bronze medals.

Piri and the tekoteko

A tekoteko is to protect the Marae from the harm. It could be seen at the top of a marae. Sometimes the tekoteko makes you crazy. Also the tekoteko scares the people from stealing staff from the marae.

The Paralympics

 In the paralympics,it has 20 more events too the olympics.Nealy or the paralympics games a
with wheelchairs.When the london 2012 olympics finish, the paralympics take over and use
the stadiums that the olympic athletes played in.

In the paralympic games their a 4200 athletes that a in wheelchairs or have steel legs, or
might be bLind.the london paralympics started on august the 29 but for us it is august the
30th.

The games will take place on the 29th of august too the 9th of september for 11 days.Also the

paralympic games have sitting volleyball,boccia,wheelchair basketball goal ball,and para
equestrian.

Kiwi Grub for Mohua

On Mohua's menu those a the three things that she likes. She also  likes Pellets in pellets there is minced meat,crushed dried insects,banana,and bran.She also likes earth worms and the reel worms she could eat a whole ice cream container of worms.

Valerie Adams gold medal

When Valerie Adams did Shot put against Nadzeya, Nadzeya through the longest,  she came first and Valerie Adams was very upset because she does not want to win silver. But when they went for a steroid test Nadzeya was on drugs so everybody thought that she was cheating because she was on steroids .

Steroids make you strong and make you win a lot but they a bad for you. Nick Willis he came third in the men's 800 meter and the person who came first was on drugs.So the person who came first got disqualifed and Nick got the silver.  Nick willis said “Valerie Adams should get her gold”.

That was like Valerie Adams how she became gold from silver so the chef de mission  Dave Currie rang Valerie adams and said “Nadzeya has been disqualified so now you have gold medal but it will take a little long to find it”.   

VALERIE ADAMS WINNING GOLD

In the shot put Valerie Adams won a silver but the gold winner Nadezeya was on drugs. The New Zealand Olympic team chef  Dave Currie  rang Valerie Adams and said, the gold medallist Nadezeya tested positive for drugs so they gave the gold medal to Valerie Adams. Whoever won the bronze medal they move up to silver and also who ever came fourth wins the bronze.

I think that  the gold winner was very upset because she was cheating by being on drugs and Valerie Adams was very happy because that as very good for New Zealand because they need more golds.

School Idol

School idol is about when Nathan was moaning about the girls at the back of 
him talking at the same time.Also he thought that the girls thought that they were beautiful
and he thought that they a planing dumb dancing' s.

The Olympic Flag

In the olympics their a five parts of the rings. Each represents five continents, they are Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and The Americas. The five continents were joined together by the Olympic Movement. The rings are interlocking, this means when the rings join up together and it becomes the Olympics rings. 

Water Polo

My sport is about water polo.It is about winning and scoring goals. Also and acheving goals. Even some people fight in the water because they defend the player in the pool. Sometimes the players trick the other team by pretending to shoot the ball.

You win by scoring goals and teamwork.When you help your team mates you will score and make your team win.

Water polo was first invented in New York and was made in 1897.

It was developed in europe and the United States of America.


In water polo you will need:
A Ball
A Soccer net
A Pool
A Water helmet

You need to know how to swim and you need to be strong. Also you need too be a good aimer  and try and aim for the target.  

I like water polo because you can play soccer but in water with your hands but the only thing it is dangerous because the ball goes all around the pool and then they fight.

Term 2 Reflection

Reading: This term we read about gumboots and where they  were first invented.Gumboots were made in england.I have done  well because  in my reading in finished all my presentations capital letters in the right place and full stops when you finish a sentence.

Writing: I learnt about Andy Warhol and his life and also when he died in 1987 and he was born in 1923.I'm starting too a little bit trying too check my work. I have not been checking my work properly. I need to add capitals full stops commas and some other things.

Maths: In maths we had too do Decades and solving out problems in our head in our maths book. I need to improve on working it out in your head, doing tasks properly  and writing the sheet  that you are on in your maths book.

When we  got there we saw art from different classer's.

We saw art all around us.

.My Favorited art was Anthony's art.Also his class was room 15

I liked there art but we should get some more art and make it  upgraded.

My Gumboots

At Youth Town we did some art with clay .They had bags of clay, the two ladies were helping us was roll us some clay.  We drafted our designs on a piece  paper.

Then we started copying our designs onto the clay when it is all finish you take it to the glass area. I decorated mine with red and blue because my art was about STATE OF ORIGIN! So I put blue and red sprinkles on it.

It will look cool when it comes out because it is going to melt  and the clay is going to bake. After that we rotated with the other class they had to do clay and we had to go in the pools and have a swim.Then after that when we finished we started to  go back to  school.

P.E.P.A

After lunchtime we had to go to class and get ready to go to the PEPA performance .When the whole  school was ready the performance started.My favorite was the breakdancing and rapping
it was cool.

My favorite actors were Neo,Isaiah,Antonio, and Wili. Also my favorite actor in the breakdancing was Lepa, Carlos, Rayhun, and Jefty they were the coolest break dancers. Also in the hip hop that boy looked flexible, he was awsome.

Andy Warhol Biography

Andy Warhol was an American artist. He was known for his creative and colourful pop art prints. Some examples of his famous art include: Marilyn 1967 and Mao 1972

Andy Warhol was born in 1928,and he was born in Pittsburgh.Also his parents  came from Slovakia, and he had a chorea disease when he was 8.When he was sick he collected pictures from the magazine. Every time Andy Warhol finished a page of his colouring book he gets a chocolate bar.

He went to Schenley School, everybody  fort he was so quite. Andy warhol liked to collect pictures of celebrities,he went too Carnegie Institute of Technology. Andy did pictorial design at his new university and graduated.

In 1960 warhol started to do pop art, some of the painting he did was Marilyn Monroe, Mohammad Ali,Tomato soup Mickey mouse, in the factory he did  some of the people in some films.

Andy passed away in 1987 and he was only 58 years old.I think that andy warhol  was a  talented man, also his artwork was always admirable.

Partly cloudy

This movie is called Partly .The characters on this story is the peck,the gus, Babies, Puppies, Kittens. Peter Shawn  directed the short film review.Also that was a  pixar movie there are heaps of pixar movies like Monsters inc,Toy Story,Cars.

The main thing is  when every cloud is making good stuff and the other cloud was making bad stuff like eels,goat ,crocodile. Here is the video if you want to watch it.

My favourite part of the movie was when gus went to the other cloud to get some more protection so he can not get damaged.
